A very old vine training system called «alberello» (little tree=bush vine) and a special vineyard where the plants are about 50 years old. An alive heritage that we protect and enhance. This is where Acinorè (=king of the grapes) comes from, our best expression of Primitivo.

CHARACTERISTICS

Vinification Grapes are hand-harvested, then destemming and pressing. The maceration period lasts 15 days, followed by an alcoholic fermentation at a controlled temperature of 24-26°C
Ageing In French oak barrels for 6 months

Nose On the nose is wide, surprising, with notes ranging from blackberry and red berried fruit to carob, licorice and blond tobacco, up to cocoa
Taste In the mouth it is dry, enveloping, balanced, rightly tannic, robust and wth an extremely long aftertaste
